Job Description:
Promote AbbVie products to community/private practices, hospitals, and health systems to meet or exceed sales goals
Develop and maintain relationships with neurology, pain medicine, rehabilitation, primary care, pharmacy, urology, urogynecology, obstetrics and gynecology, female pelvic medicine, ambulatory surgical centers, and reconstructive surgery accounts
Identify customer needs involving training, clinical, operational, and reimbursement support
Address customer needs using appropriate AbbVie resources
Provide education and clinical/injection training to residents, fellows, and hospital personnel
Deliver anatomical and procedural information and train injection paradigms/postures
Utilize AbbVie sales and data resources while implementing the U.S. Marketing Plan
Collaborate with other Account Specialists to promote products for approved indications
Execute resident/fellow trainings for individual, department, or group hospital/health-system accounts
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or business-related field preferred, or relevant equivalent industry experience
At least five years of technical experience and three or more years of sales experience required in lieu of a bachelor’s degree
High school diploma/GED required
Experience with Buy & Bill and/or Specialty Pharmacy products preferred, in health systems and private practice
Ability to lift/pull 25–100 lb. training models
Ability to meet hospital credentialing and vaccination requirements
Valid driver’s license
Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and meet safe driving requirements
Ability to travel adequately to cover the territory, including overnight training events and sales meetings
Documented history of strong sales performance preferred
Ability to manage complex sales and communicate, present, and train diverse audiences
Must satisfy applicable HCIR credentialing requirements and be in good standing or eligible to obtain them
Credentialing may include background checks, drug screens, proof of immunization/vaccination, fingerprinting, and specific state or city licenses
