Job Description: Support callers to the LGBTQIA Call Center who call the suicide hotline Provide crisis phone interventions Recommend appropriate referrals for available services Answer all phone lines in a timely and professional manner Assess clinical situations and needs of callers Provide safe and effective clinical interventions Complete thorough, clear, and accurate clinical documentation for data collection and funder reporting Forward internal referrals to appropriate programs with required information Collaborate with internal and external clients and customers Monitor call-in times for clients placed on a 72-Hour Suicide Watch or Safety Follow-Up Work beyond the scheduled shift when crisis situations warrant or paperwork is incomplete Attend required meetings and training, including outside regular shift hours Work evening and night hours as required Assist the hotline clinical coordinator in training new staff Maintain stocked program forms and a clean, organized hotline area Complete required reading and projects benefiting Crisis or other departments Attend in-person meetings, training, agency activities, and events outside scheduled hours upon request Requirements: Must be an Arizona resident Bachelor's Degree in Counseling, Social Work, or related field required Minimum of 3 years of experience in the behavioral health field Crisis Experience preferred Supervisory experience preferred Program Development preferred Excellent oral and written communication skills Clear and effective communication Strong customer service Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Ability to document detailed information Ability to multitask Ability to remain calm in crises Ability to work independently and cooperatively Ability to recognize personal limitations Ability to relate positively and with empathy to all persons regardless of age, race, creed, gender, or sexual orientation Maintain professional conduct consistent with ethical professional practice and agency policies and procedures Maintain a professional demeanor while working remotely from home Employees must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times Benefits: Generous PTO 10 paid holidays per year Medical plans (4 choices) Dental plans (2 choices) Vision plans (2 choices) 403(b) retirement plan Retirement Allowance Company-paid Life/AD&D and Long Term Disability Voluntary additional Life and Short-term Disability Tuition Reimbursement Elder Care Assistance Pet Insurance Remote work from home Equal employment opportunity and anti-discrimination protections
