Job Description:

  • Build the clinical education component for Stepful's Radiologic Technology A.A.S. program
  • Correlate clinical and didactic education and evaluate alignment each term
  • Conduct and document pre-placement evaluations of prospective partner facilities
  • Secure accreditor recognition for clinical settings and maintain clinical affiliation agreements
  • Designate clinical preceptors at recognized settings
  • Determine student clinical placement and scheduling
  • Assure equitable access to mobile, surgical, and trauma procedures
  • Maintain the 1:1 student-to-clinical-staff ratio and cap clinical involvement at ten hours per day
  • Orient students to every clinical site
  • Enforce direct and indirect supervision requirements and radiation safety
  • Distribute student radiation exposure reports within thirty school days
  • Complete MRI safety screening before clinical experience
  • Onboard, train, and support clinical preceptors
  • Track clinical competency progression and completed clinical hours
  • Provide clinical advisement and build remediation plans
  • Contribute clinical evidence to accreditation reports, filings, and site visits
  • Participate in systematic assessment and annual analysis of clinical outcomes data
  • Participate in didactic and/or clinical instruction
  • Maintain professional currency through continuing professional development
  • Travel to partner sites for evaluations, preceptor development, clinical visits, student advisement, and accreditation visits

Requirements:

  • Reliable access to a major airport and availability to travel to Texas
  • Bachelor's degree or higher from an institution accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education or CHEA
  • Current ARRT R.T.(R) certification
  • Current Texas GMRT certificate from the Texas Board of Medical Radiologic Technology
  • Minimum two years' clinical experience in radiography
  • Minimum one year's experience as an instructor in a JRCERT-accredited program
  • Proficient in curriculum development, supervision, instruction, evaluation, and academic advising
  • Working knowledge of the JRCERT Standards for an Accredited Educational Program in Radiography and of ABHES clinical experience requirements, or willingness to learn
  • Prior clinical coordinator or clinical instructor experience in a JRCERT-accredited radiography program is a bonus
  • Experience managing clinical education across multiple sites or health systems is a bonus
