Job Description: Build and own a portfolio of enterprise Consumer Products and Services accounts Identify, prioritize, and develop a self-sourced book of business Acquire new logos, grow revenue, and drive client outcomes Prospect, pitch, negotiate, and close new enterprise opportunities with SDR partnership Define account strategy, create opportunities, develop pipeline, and plan multi-year growth Lead solution development and deal execution with Industry GMs, Practice Leaders, Pre-Sales Solutions, and Delivery teams Partner with Client Partners to expand mature strategic accounts and maximize account value Shape technology, marketing, consulting, and AI-enabled solutions for consumer products and retail organizations Maintain pipeline and account intelligence for forecasting and decision-making Lead strategic conversations with prospective and existing clients Build client relationships, executive networks, proposals, and long-term growth plans Mentor new team members and contribute to team rituals, best-practice sharing, and win/loss reviews Report directly to the General Manager of the Consumer Products & Services industry vertical Requirements: Bachelor’s degree is required 7–10+ years of experience in professional services, ideally at a leading consulting firm Strong foundation in enterprise account management and solution selling Extensive consultative customer engagement and service-oriented or outcome-based solution sales experience Experience in the Consumer Products and Services industry, especially Retail, CPG, Food, and Grocery Demonstrated success building a book of business from the ground up through self-sourcing, prospecting, and developing new enterprise relationships Track record managing a $5M+ annualized gross portfolio Track record closing $250K–$1M+ complex, multi-phase enterprise deals Experience with enterprise clients with $2B+ annual revenue Comfort engaging C-level executives on Consumer Products and Services trends Understanding of industry challenges and AI’s impact on consumer products operating models Ability to discuss Toptal’s technology, marketing, and management consulting capabilities Exposure to hybrid talent models or alternative consulting delivery models Ability to build and execute account plans and maintain a healthy pipeline Success in collaborative prospecting, virtual and on-site sales calls, and multidisciplinary sales pursuits Experience negotiating complex service agreements with procurement and legal departments Ability to partner across internal teams to shape innovative solutions Willingness and ability to travel to client sites, conferences, and team events (25–40%) Outstanding written and verbal communication skills Intellectual curiosity, grit, and entrepreneurial spirit Ability to work in a fast-paced, rapidly growing company and manage varied challenges, deadlines, and contacts World-class individual contributor mindset Regularly and reliably attend virtual team meetings on camera Work independently with minimal supervision Use required digital collaboration tools Prioritize and self-manage workflows and deadlines Must be authorized to work in the US at the time of hire Resumes and communication must be submitted in English No visa sponsorship or assistance is offered Benefits: Monthly commissions based on revenue generated from engagements sold 401(k) retirement plan Medical, dental, and vision health insurance plans Basic life insurance coverage Short-term and long-term disability coverage Flexible spending accounts Dependent care accounts Health savings accounts Telehealth virtual doctors Employee assistance program Flexible paid time off
