Job Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented Game Tester / QA Intern who enjoys playing games and wants to learn how games are tested and improved. You will play assigned game builds, identify bugs and usability issues, and provide clear feedback to help create a smoother and more enjoyable experience for players.
This role is a good fit for someone who pays attention to small details, follows instructions carefully, and can explain what happened, where it happened, and how the issue can be reproduced.
Responsibilities
• Play assigned levels, features, and game builds according to testing instructions.
• Find, document, and clearly describe bugs, glitches, crashes, visual problems, and performance issues.
• Record the steps needed to reproduce each issue and include screenshots or video clips when requested.
• Test gameplay controls, menus, navigation, audio, visual elements, and the overall user experience.
• Retest reported issues after updates to confirm whether they have been fixed.
• Provide organized and constructive feedback to the game and development teams.
• Meet agreed testing deadlines and communicate promptly about progress or blockers.
• Help identify confusing, frustrating, or unclear parts of the player experience.
Qualifications
• Genuine interest in video games and curiosity about how games are made.
• Strong attention to detail and patience when repeating tests.
• Ability to follow written instructions and complete assigned tasks independently.
• Ability to communicate findings clearly in written English.
• Reliable access to a compatible device and internet connection.
• Basic ability to organize information using documents, spreheets, or online tools.
• No professional game-testing experience is required; students and entry-level applicants are welcome to apply.
Bonus skills
• Previous experience with beta testing, quality assurance, or game testing.
• Familiarity with bug-reporting or project-management tools.
• Experience using screen-recording or screenshot tools to document issues.
• Basic understanding of game development, user experience, or software testing.
• Experience playing browser, mobile, console, or cross-platform games.
• Interest in accessibility, game design, or improving online social experiences.
How to apply
Please submit a short introduction explaining your gaming experience, the devices or platforms you use, and why you are interested in game testing. If available, include examples of previous testing, bug reports, game projects, or other relevant work.
