Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Starbucks is a company dedicated to connection and leadership, seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET). In this role, you will advance test automation capabilities and ensure high-quality software delivery by designing and developing automation frameworks and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
Design and enhance test automation frameworks – Build and improve automation frameworks and implement scalable automated test suites and scripts
Drive quality improvements – Recommend and implement enhancements across automation design, development, and execution processes
Lead and mentor – Provide oversight and guidance to QA analysts, developers, and testers on automation and performance testing strategies
Execute and analyze testing – Develop, maintain, and debug automated test scripts while tracking and communicating execution results
Evaluate tools and frameworks – Participate in tool selection, create POCs, and recommend automation solutions
Collaborate across teams – Work cross-functionally with engineers, analysts, and project managers to deliver high-quality software
Skills
5+ years of experience designing and developing automation frameworks with strong programming and scripting skills
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Strong coding experience with object-oriented programming and design patterns
Experience with automation tools and frameworks (open-source or commercial)
Knowledge of SDLC, Agile methodologies, and test management practices
Experience with version control systems and defect tracking tools
Understanding of cloud technologies (SaaS, PaaS, IaaS) and system architecture concepts
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
