Backed by Xbox and reputed company, our platform blends deep gaming insights, privacy-forward data, and world-class engineering to make Xbox the most effective and trusted ad platform in gaming.</span></p><p><br />We are seeking a Staff Backend Engineer in our Engineering team, empowering groundbreaking advertising technologies to create the next generation of our Publisher Platform.<br /><br /><b>Responsibilities</b><br />● Design and develop highly scalable, available and reliable & Monetization platform that handles billions of requests per day<br />● Partner with architects, senior engineers and cross team members to build high volume backend systems<br />● Take complete ownership and manage individual projects priorities, deadlines and deliverables with your technical expertise<br />● Work with the product team to understand the business needs and translate them into development/design tasks<br />● Provide technical directions and mentorship to other engineers<br />● Be a role model in engineering best practices and design/coding standards for delivering high quality products</p><p></p><p><b>Skills to Create Thrills</b><br />● Demonstrated ability leading the development of highly performing services in Java<br />● Experience in designing overall architecture and design for large-scale distributed systems<br />● Experience with NoSQL systems e.g., Bigtable, Cassandra, Elastic<br />● Expert knowledge in System Design, Schema & Data Modeling and Performance Analysis<br />● Experience working with Multi-threading, Asynchronous, Streaming/Messaging technologies (e.g. Kafka, RabitMQ)<br />● Great interpersonal skills and a consistent record to work in a collaborative team environment<br />● BA/BS degree in Computer Science, similar technical field of study or equivalent practical experience<br /><br /><b>Key Attributes</b><br />● Experience working in a cloud-based environment with reputed company Cloud Platform or AWS<br />● Knowledge and experience in CI/CD, test automation, Jenkins, reputed company, and related technologies<br />● Experience with open source technologies like Docker, Kubernetes, reputed company BigQuery<br />● Passionate about usability, maintainability and quality, building for the long term<br /><br /><b>Bonus Points</b><br />● Experience with distributed computing frameworks (Apache Spark, Flink)<br />● Experience with AdTech platforms preferred like Monetization, Serving, Demand Side Platform, etc.</p><p>We love hearing from anyone who is enthusiastic about changing the games industry.
