Job Description: Oversee the Denver, Colorado territory as a University Admissions Counselor Help Grand Canyon University Traditional Ground Campus students succeed from application through their first few weeks on campus Host and implement event/activity plans to build awareness of academic programs and campus community and generate inquiries Counsel prospective students and families in person, by phone, email, text, and Zoom Promote Grand Canyon University student success and institutional growth Connect with community college students, faculty, and staff Engage major stakeholders throughout the territory Attend fairs, school visits, presentations, community and campus events Host campus visits Represent Grand Canyon University in the assigned territory Work independently and guide prospective students and families through the admissions process Coach students and families and develop relationships with community colleges and their staff Requirements: Must live in or near Denver, CO Bachelor's degree No delinquent or defaulted federal student loan, as verified in credit report; rehabilitation-program participants must be current on payments Outstanding time management and organization skills Clear communication and engaging presentation skills Well-developed listening skills Self-motivation and drive to succeed High emotional intelligence and ability to demonstrate empathy Valid driver's license Reliable transportation and ability to use a personal vehicle Flexible schedule and willingness to travel Clean driving record Evening and/or weekend availability for some events Ability to travel to Phoenix 1–3 times per month for those residing outside Phoenix Computer literacy Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Alumni experience at Grand Canyon University, relevant industry experience, or CRM tools experience are bonus qualifications Benefits: Tenure-based compensation plan allowing increased earning potential upon completion of each year-long recruitment cycle Ongoing professional development and growth Outstanding benefits and work perks Collaborative and supportive work environment Stable income Opportunity to own your part of the business without the risks of owning your own business
