Freelance Web Developer — Wix to Squarespace Migration

About the Project

We're moving our website off Wix and onto Squarespace. We've already decided on the platform, so this project is about a clean, careful migration, not a platform recommendation.

Scope of Work

Migrate our current Wix site to Squarespace, roughly nine pages, preserving design quality, layout intent, and existing functionality

Migrate our secondary site, Aloha Lux, as an exact copy into Squarespace (one additional page)

Rebuild all existing forms so they work the same way on Squarespace

Migrate content: page copy, images, and metadata

Set up SEO redirects from old Wix URLs to new Squarespace URLs to protect search rankings

Build two to three additional core pages beyond the migrated set (details provided at kickoff)

Build a blog page and a reusable blog post template in Squarespace

Test the full site across devices and browsers before launch

Provide short documentation or a training session so a non-technical person can add and edit content after launch

What We're Looking For

Someone who's done Wix-to-Squarespace migrations before and can move efficiently without breaking what already works. Strong attention to matching existing design and making sure forms and redirects are fully tested before launch.
